CROI is committed to supporting new and early-career investigators, as well as community educators and international investigators working in resource limited countries who would otherwise be unable to attend CROI Through their applications and letters of recommendation, these awardees have shown they will greatly benefit from attending CROI New Investigator and International Scholarship recipients are presenting authors on their respective abstracts and are labeled as such through the program SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEE INFORMATION Activities for New Investigator Scholarship Awardees Scott M. Hammer Workshop for New Investigators and Trainees Widely considered the most informative and comprehensive session at CROI, this workshop highlights advances in HIV and SARS-CoV-2 molecular virology and immunology; advances in HIV treatment strategies, biomedical prevention, and cure; and community perspectives Scholarship awardees are required to attend the entire workshop Meet the Luminary Sessions Small-group sessions provide the unique opportunity to meet and network with a leading scientific expert (eg, a named lecturer or plenary speaker at CROI) and to ask one-on-one questions in an intimate setting Note: Sign-up in advance is required Poster Walks Poster Walks promote a rich scientific discourse between scholarship awardees, poster presenters, and CROI Scientific Program Committee members as they discuss a curated list of presentations in basic science, clinical research, epidemiology, and public health Each New Investigator Scholarship Awardee can attend a single Poster Walk session Note: Sign-up in advance is required New Investigator Networking Area Located in the Poster Hall (Poster Hall C-D, Exhibit Level), the New Investigator Networking Area provides a central meeting point and designated networking area for New Investigator Scholarship Awardees Activities for Community Educator Scholarship Awardees Scott M.
